# Remotify

> Remotify is an access control service based in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico, operating since 2022. It retrofits existing electric gates and doors of gated communities (privadas, fraccionamientos), condominiums, homes, businesses and vacation rentals with a connected device, so residents open them from a mobile app. Managers grant and revoke access per person and see a log of every opening.

Key facts:

- Location: Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico. Installs and supports across the Mérida metropolitan area (north Mérida, Conkal, Cholul, Temozón Norte, Dzityá, Caucel, Kanasín) and takes projects across Yucatán, including the coast (Progreso).
- Works with the gate and motor already installed; no new gate, motor or main wiring.
- Features: opening from the phone with no range limit, per-person permissions, opening log (user, entrance, time), real-time online status of each entrance, web panel for managers, local support over WhatsApp.
- Airbnb and vacation rentals: hosts create a user for each guest, grant access to their entrance and deactivate it at check-out; every opening is logged. Automatic expiry by booking dates and guest access links are planned, not yet available.
